Celebrate Valentine’s Day as a Family with Food!

Posted on: February 13, 2010

You want to have a Valentine’s Day celebration and include your kids? There’s a lot of fun ways to go about it. It doesn’t have to be just a day for a couple! Make it a family affair!

Food: Whether it’s a weekend or weekday, plan to have a lot of food with pink and red and heart-shapes. If you can have breakfast together as a family, what about strawberry milk and heart-shaped pancakes.

Dinner could be Italian: lasagna with red sauce or ravioli with white parmesan sauce dyed pink…and homemade breadsticks made into a heart-shape would be a nice touch. Or homemade pizza shaped into a heart! Dessert could involve something really chocolatey and decadent OR strawberries, pink cupcakes or cake, more sugar cookie hearts decorated with red candies, or strawberry ice cream with whipped cream on top!
