Help African Children play with soccer balls instead of Coconuts

Posted on: May 13, 2010

Today was such an amazing day.  The grade 1 team  coordinated a fundraising event  for the nonprofit initiative ‘Kickball’s for Kids’

Kickball’s for Kids’ provides something as simple as soccer balls to schools and orphanages whose children resort to kicking around coconuts barefoot, as a means to the carefree joys of sport.

Our goal was to promote further discussion amongst our students, while taking the opportunity to foster motivation expressed through reaching out to help children throughout various African regions observed.

There were  multicolored ‘Kickball’s for Kids’ ribbon bracelets for sale for 250 fills each. We will then send 100% of the profits via ‘Paypal’ to the organization.

I put the ribbons in a baske and went to the playground and sold them to the students

Colorful ribbons sold for 250 fils and money raised will be sent to Africa
